About Jenny

Jenny is an ex-career banker turned entrepreneur and business turnaround specialist. She is also the Founder of YourCash Europe, a pan European business that provides cash machines to the retail market.

Born into a business-orientated family of bankers, builders and printers Jenny hasn’t stood still since she was young. Shunning further formal education at the age of 16, Jenny began her working life counting cash in a bank branch.

She rapidly developed her career in the banking fraternity and by the age of 23 had completed her banking qualifications and been awarded a Chartered Institute of Bankers prize.

Following thirty years in banking, where her role included playing a vital part in the integration of NatWest into the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Jenny left the banking world in pursuit of a new challenge – to turn around a failing cash machine business owned by RBS.

Jenny joined Hanco ATM Systems in 2006 as Director of Operations with a large task ahead of her: to turn a company, which had expanded too quickly and was making a loss, into a corporate entity.

She launched a major operational restructure of Hanco and within a few years the business became profitable and started to thrive across new European territories.

In the midst of the turnaround process and at the height of the financial crash, Jenny was tasked with selling the company. However, she saw that the business had real potential and wasn’t ready to give up on it or the people in it.

So in 2010, she decided to buyout the business from RBS using the support of high-net worth individuals. She relaunched the business YourCash Europe and commenced an aggressive period of organic growth, market expansion and operational excellence initiatives.

In 2013, with the support of a debt financing structure, Jenny undertook a secondary buy-out to exit the non-management shareholders, enabling her to become the majority shareholder and take full control of the business. The cash machine company quickly expanded to become a leading provider of ATMs to the European retail market, handling millions of ATM transactions and processing billions in cash value.

Ten years on from taking the business under her wing, Jenny sold YourCash in October 2016 to a US business quoted on the New York Stock Exchange.

Jenny shared her business experience with hopeful entrepreneurs in the BBC’s fifteenth and sixteenth series of Dragons’ Den, Jenny brought her “feisty northern grit” to the panel, sticking true to her favourite business motto- “live by corporate standards, but breathe like an entrepreneur”. She invested in 12 businesses across the 2 series. In 2019 Dragon’s Den was nominated for a BAFTA Award.

Jenny is married with two grown up sons, one of which owns the successful Indian restaurant chain Kricket. The other is running a housing development company Russon Campbell Developments. In her spare time she breeds and shows Flat Coated Retrievers at championship level, under the kennel name RONEVORG and is also an accredited breed judge.

Jenny works closely with business and enterprise charities to help young people harness their entrepreneurial spirits. Between 2019 – 2022, Jenny was the Vice Chair of the Prince’s Trust  Enterprise Fellowship programme which is a network of the UK’s leading Entrepreneurs who are committed to supporting and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.

She was also a Director of the Board of Women of The Year (WOTY) 2018-2022 which highlights and celebrates the achievements of exceptional women across the UK.

In 2020 she was elected as a Board Director of the UK Kennel Club. Founded in 1873 it is the oldest recognised kennel club in the world. Its role is to oversee various canine activities including dog shows, dog agility and working trials. It also operates the national register of pedigree dogs in the United Kingdom. Jenny stood down from the Board in 2022 as directorship prohibited from exhibiting at Crufts, the world’s greatest dog show, which she was not prepared to give up (for now). She remains closely connected to the Kennel Club and actively engaged on a number of Committees and Working Groups.
